Stockholm, Sweden – January 17, 2026 — On the third week — the twenty-first day — of the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, once again, in freezing sub-zero temperatures, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and members of the Iranian community in Sweden gathered in a rally in front of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express their solidarity with the nationwide protests in Iran that began on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Participants demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, showing unwavering support for the Iran Revolution until the clerical regime is overthrown.

Demonstrators carried placards and portraits of those killed during the uprising, honoring the martyrs and reaffirming their commitment to the struggle for freedom and democracy. They chanted slogans such as “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs!”—rejecting both the former monarchical dictatorship and the current theocratic rule.

Speakers and participants condemned those attempting to distort or silence the genuine voice of the Iranian people through organized disinformation and propaganda in favor of the son of the deposed Shah. They praised the courage of protesters inside Iran who continue risking their lives for freedom, justice, and democratic rights, calling on the international community to stand with the Iranian people—and not with any form of dictatorship—in their quest for a free and democratic republic.
