Switzerland – January 17, 2026: Iranians gathered in Zurich to honor the martyrs of Iran’s nationwide uprising and express solidarity with protesters demanding freedom and democracy. Demonstrators carried placards and portraits of those killed, paying tribute to their sacrifice and reaffirming their commitment to continue the struggle for a free republic.

Participants laid flowers at the images of the martyrs, honoring their memory with moments of silence and deep respect for their sacrifice. The gesture symbolized the unity and determination of Iranians worldwide to keep their cause alive.

Participants chanted slogans such as “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs!” — rejecting both the deposed monarchy and the ruling theocracy. Speakers condemned ongoing efforts to distort or suppress the authentic voice of Iranians through disinformation and propaganda promoting the son of the former Shah.

They hailed the courage of protesters inside Iran who risk their lives for liberty, justice, and democratic rights, urging the international community to stand with the Iranian people — not with any form of dictatorship — in their pursuit of a free and democratic republic.
