Malmö Rally Voices Solidarity with Iran Uprising and Rejects All Forms of Dictatorship

Sweden – Jan 24, 2026: Voices for freedom echo in Malmö as Iranians stand united with Iran’s uprising.

Malmö, Sweden – January 24, 2026 — In continued solidarity with the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, a group of supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and freedom-loving Iranians held a protest rally in the city of Malmö, Sweden. Participants in the demonstration expressed their firm support for the MEK Resistance Units and the uprising activists inside Iran.

Echoes of freedom-seeking chants in the heart of Malmö

The rally profoundly impacted the square as demonstrators chanted slogans reflecting the Iranian people’s determination to achieve freedom and democracy. Among the slogans shouted collectively and with great enthusiasm were:

“Death to the oppressor, whether Shah or Supreme Leader”
“We swear by the blood of our comrades, we will stand to the very end”

These chants clearly underscored the Iranian Resistance’s decisive rejection of all forms of dictatorship—both monarchical and religious.

Placards and banners in Persian and English were displayed, reflecting the core demands of the uprising and the Resistance. Some of the most prominent messages included:

“Neither Shah nor Sheikh — Long live freedom,” emphasizing the rejection of both past and present tyranny in pursuit of a democratic future.

“No monarchy, no theocracy; democracy and equality,” highlighting the Resistance’s lofty ideals of gender equality and full citizenship rights.

Honoring the martyrs

In one part of the rally, images of martyrs of the uprising and the Resistance were laid out on the ground and adorned with red flowers. This symbolic act illustrated the unbreakable bond between supporters of the Resistance abroad and the sacrifices made by young people on the streets of Iran.

Wearing yellow vests and holding portraits of the leaders of the Iranian Resistance, Mr. Massoud Rajavi and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, participants emphasized that they will not rest until the realization of a “free Iran tomorrow” and the overthrow of the entirety of the velayat-e faqih regime. They pledged to remain the voice of the voiceless of the uprising.
