Paris, France — January 18, 2026 — Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), along with French citizens, gathered at Place Saint-Michel in Paris to express solidarity with the nationwide protests in Iran that began on December 28, 2025. The demonstration honored the fallen heroes and victims of the Iranian people’s uprising.

Participants hailed the martyrs of the Iran protests and paid tribute to those who have been and continue to be killed on the streets of Iran. Maestro Hamid Reza Taherzade performed a moving piece in memory of the martyrs, adding an emotional note to the rally’s call for freedom and justice.

Ms. Dominique Attias, a prominent French lawyer and president of the European Bars Federation, also delivered a speech expressing her firm support for the Iranian people’s nationwide uprising and their fight for liberty.

Participants also paid tribute to the martyrs of the uprising by lighting candles and reading aloud the names of those whose identities have been confirmed so far. They honored them beside an exhibition displaying their photos, arranged at the gathering site in remembrance of the fallen.

Demonstrators carried banners and posters bearing the faces of those slain during the uprising and chanted slogans such as “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs,” and in French, “Ni Chah, Ni Mollahs, à bas la dictature en Iran!” (“No Shah, No Mullahs — Down with dictatorship in Iran!”), making clear their rejection of all forms of tyranny.

Demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic in Iran, denouncing both monarchical and theocratic rule. In their banners, placards, and chants, they emphasized their determination to continue the struggle until the overthrow of the mullahs’ dictatorship in Iran and the establishment of freedom, justice, and democracy in a democratic republic.

The rally sent a powerful message to the international community to stand with the people of Iran—not with any form of dictatorship—and to support their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy.
