Toronto, Canada — January 31, 2026 — Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), held a rally in Toronto in solidarity with the nationwide uprising in Iran and its courageous protesters.

Participants carried photographs of the martyrs of the ongoing protests and chanted anti-regime slogans, condemning the brutal crackdown and massacres carried out by the ruling clerical regime. The demonstrators voiced their unwavering support for their compatriots inside Iran who have risen up against oppression and tyranny.

Rejecting All Forms of Dictatorship

The rally strongly rejected all forms of dictatorship, whether monarchical or theocratic, and called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic based on the will of the Iranian people. Protesters displayed banners and placards reflecting the demands heard across Iran, with slogans such as “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs!”

Call for International Action

The demonstrators urged the international community to take immediate and concrete action, including securing the release of all political detainees and establishing an independent fact-finding mission to investigate the Iranian regime’s widespread human rights violations and atrocities against protesters.

The Toronto rally sent a clear and powerful message to the world: stand with the people of Iran and their legitimate struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy— not with any form of dictatorship.
