Gothenburg, Sweden — February 24, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Gothenburg to pay tribute to the PMOI fighters paving the way for the revolution and to express solidarity with the movement’s Resistance Units inside Iran.

Vision for a Democratic Republic and Support for MEK Resistance Units

Echoing the message, “Salute to the PMOI fighters who are paving the way for the revolution,” demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic. They rejected both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy, emphasizing that Iran’s future must rest on popular sovereignty and democratic values.

Participants underscored the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance as a legitimate alternative and voiced strong support for the MEK Resistance Units operating inside Iran, praising their continued efforts and sacrifices in the struggle for freedom, justice, and a democratic future.
