Copenhagen, Denmark – March 10, 2026 — Supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered once again outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in Copenhagen, where they voiced strong support for the announcement of a Provisional Government by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). Participants described the initiative as a viable democratic alternative for Iran following the death of Ali Khamenei..

During the rally, attendees also called for the overthrow of the clerical establishment and expressed support for the MEK’s Resistance Units operating inside Iran.

Support for a Democratic Transition in Iran

Participants at the rally rejected both the former monarchical system and the current religious dictatorship. They emphasized that the Iranian people must determine the country’s future through democratic governance.

Furthermore, the speakers expressed strong support for the ten-point plan proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI. They described the plan as a comprehensive framework for a transitional government. The proposal highlights universal suffrage, gender equality, individual freedoms, and the rule of law as key principles.

Finally, the NCRI’s Provisional Government declaration, issued on February 28, presents a roadmap for transferring sovereignty to the Iranian people. It also calls for dismantling institutions linked to absolute clerical rule. According to supporters, this process would pave the way for the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran.
