London, UK — March 6, 2026 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) rallied outside the British Prime Minister’s Office at 10 Downing Street, calling for the overthrow of the clerical establishment and endorsing the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) announcement of a Provisional Government. The rally highlighted support for the NCRI’s initiative as a viable democratic alternative for Iran following the death of Ali Khamenei.
Support for NCRI Provisional Government and Democratic Transition in Iran
Protesters at the rally reiterated their rejection of both the former monarchical system and the current religious dictatorship, arguing that Iran’s future must be determined by its people through democratic governance. They expressed strong support for the ten-point plan proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, describing it as a comprehensive framework for a transitional government based on universal suffrage, gender equality, individual freedoms, and the rule of law.
The NCRI’s Provisional Government declaration, issued on February 28, outlines a roadmap aimed at transferring sovereignty to the Iranian people and dismantling institutions associated with absolute clerical rule, paving the way for the establishment of a democratic republic.
