Freedom-Loving Iranians Rally in Stockholm

On March 14, 2026, freedom-loving Iranians gathered in Stockholm to support the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran and to voice their strong backing for the announcement of a Provisional Government by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Participants included supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) together with Kurdish compatriots and other compatriots from ethnic groups such as Baluch, Arabs, and others. Demonstrators emphasized their rejection of both monarchical and clerical dictatorship and voiced support for a democratic alternative for Iran.

The rally highlighted support for the vision of a democratic future outlined in the Ten-Point Plan of Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The plan calls for fundamental freedoms, gender equality, respect for the rights of all people in Iran.

Message from Maryam Rajavi

In a message addressed to the rallies in Stockholm and Hamburg, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi saluted participants for raising the banner of peace and freedom for Iran and for standing with the Resistance Units and freedom fighters inside the country.

She stressed that only the Iranian people have the legitimate right to determine their country’s political future and that the Iranian Resistance seeks a democratic republic based on the sovereignty of the people.

Rajavi also emphasized that the Provisional Government of the National Council of Resistance of Iran seeks to transfer power to the people of Iran after the fall of the ruling religious dictatorship.

“The slogan of the Resistance and the Provisional Government is Peace and Freedom,” she said.

Support for a Democratic Future

Participants in the Stockholm rally expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and with resistance activities inside the country, emphasizing unity among Iranians in their demand for freedom, democracy, and equality.
