Supporters of the Iranian Resistance Rally in Geneva During UN Human Rights Council Session

Geneva, Switzerland — March 16, 2026: Supporters of the Iranian Resistance, joined by Kurdish, Baluch, and Arab compatriots, as well as representatives of other ethnic minorities, gathered outside the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. They called for the overthrow of the clerical dictatorship and expressed support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) announcement of a provisional government.

Participants reaffirmed their rejection of both the former monarchical system and the current religious dictatorship, stressing that Iran’s future must be determined by its people through a democratic process. They also voiced strong support for the ten-point plan proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, describing it as a comprehensive roadmap for a transitional government founded on universal suffrage, gender equality, individual freedoms, and the rule of law.

They also held a photo exhibition honoring the martyrs of the Iranian uprising, particularly those of the January 2026 protests, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people and paying tribute by laying flowers in their memory.

They also referred to this year’s Chaharshanbe Suri celebrations, chanting that “the flames of this year’s festival represent the people’s anger toward the mullahs’ regime.”

Call for International Action

Speakers at the rally emphasized that verbal condemnations are no longer sufficient. They urged the international community to adopt concrete measures, including:

  • Launching investigations into crimes against humanity

  • Holding regime officials accountable in international courts

  • Pursuing legal action under the principle of universal jurisdiction
