UK Urged to Recognize NCRI Provisional Government as London Rally Backs Maryam Rajavi’s Democratic Plan

On March 28, 2026, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance, along with Kurdish compatriots and other fellow citizens, rallied at Marble Arch in London, voicing strong support for the provisional government proposed by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and endorsing the Ten-Point Plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, as a clear roadmap for a democratic transition in Iran.

UK Leaders and Iranian Figures Endorse NCRI’s Vision for a Free Iran

At the demonstration, members of the UK Parliament, political and legal figures, and representatives of Iranian associations and communities in the United Kingdom delivered speeches.

• Naghmeh Rajabi emphasized the persistence of Iran’s popular uprising despite severe repression, expressing solidarity with Resistance Units and highlighting the people’s determination to overthrow
• Hossein Abedini – Deputy Representative of the NCRI in the UK portrayed a nationwide movement of resistance across major cities, stressing that the Iranian people’s persistence will ultimately lead to the regime’s downfall.
• Bob Blackman – Member of the UK Parliament reaffirmed international political backing for the Iranian Resistance, explicitly supporting the NCRI’s provisional government and Mrs. Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, while urging the UK to blacklist the IRGC, close regime embassies, and expel its agents.
• Dr. Omid Ebrahimi focused on the decisive role of organized resistance and Resistance Units, stating that real change will only come through the coordinated struggle of the Iranian people on the ground.
• Professor Sarah Chandler highlighted that the NCRI’s provisional government, under the leadership framework of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, offers a credible democratic alternative based on rule of law, human rights, and free elections.

Maryam Rajavi Urges UK to Take Firm Action Against Iran Regime

The rally strongly echoed a message from Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, who called on the UK to recognize the NCRI’s provisional government, designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization, close regime embassies, expel MOIS and IRGC agents, and pressure the regime to release political prisoners.
