Brussels rally outside Iran embassy protests execution of 6 PMOI political prisoners.

Brussels – April 5, 2026 – Supporters of the Iranian Resistance staged a rally outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in Brussels to protest the execution of six political prisoners affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK): Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, Pouya GhobadiVahid Bani-Amerian, and Abolhassan Montazer.

Participants called on the European Union to adopt a more assertive policy toward Iran, including measures to address human rights abuses and ensure accountability for the regime’s wave of executions against PMOI members. Speakers highlighted the urgency of international intervention, warning that continued silence could embolden further repression.

MEP Kris Van Dijck delivered a strong message of solidarity, condemning the executions: “No one has the license to kill people because of their political views—and that’s exactly what’s happening in Iran.”

Demonstrators urged EU leaders—including EU EEAS, EP President, Kaja Kallas, and EU Council President—to break their silence and support the Iranian people’s demand for justice.

The gathering featured speeches and placards emphasizing global solidarity to stop executions of political prisoners and promote regime change.
