Brussels, April 22, 2026: Supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered outside the European Parliament in Brussels to condemn recent executions in Iran and call for international support for a democratic alternative to the current regime.
The demonstration, held at Place du Luxembourg, brought together pro-democracy Iranians who paid tribute to political prisoners and protesters executed in recent weeks. Participants held large images of victims and wore blindfolds to symbolize prisoners on death row, expressing solidarity with detainees, including members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
Supporters of the Iranian Resistance chanted slogans rejecting all forms of dictatorship, including “Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Supreme Leader” and “We do not want the Shah or the mullahs—down with all dictators,” alongside the unified message “No to the Shah, no to the mullahs.”
The rally coincided with a meeting at the European Parliament, where the NCRI‘s president-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi addressed Members of the European Parliament, urging stronger international backing for the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom. The session also included remarks by several European political figures.
Demonstrators called on the European Union to support the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran and to take a stronger stance against executions, noting that at least 16 protesters and political prisoners have reportedly been executed in recent weeks.
The gathering concluded with tributes to those executed, honoring their memory and reaffirming calls for freedom and justice in Iran.
