The Hague, Netherlands – April 20 2026: Supporters of the Iranian Resistance held a rally outside the Iranian regime’s embassy to protest the execution of PMOI political prisoners Hamed Validi and Mohammad (Nima) Masoom Shahi, who were executed by the Iranian regime on April 20.
They called on the Dutch government to take immediate action to stop executions in Iran. Over the past three weeks, eight members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), along with seven protesters arrested during the January 2026 uprising have been executed.
Demonstrators strongly condemned the actions of the mullahs’ regime, describing the executions as a blatant violation of human rights. Participants paid tribute to the victims by holding their photos and reaffirmed their commitment to continue the struggle until the overthrow of the regime and the establishment of peace, freedom, and justice in a democratic republic.
They also called for regime change and urged the Dutch government to adopt a firm policy against the regime’s ongoing human rights violations.
Call for International Support
Organizers of the rally in the Hague urged the Dutch public and the international community to recognize the Iranian people’s clear rejection of all forms of dictatorship, whether monarchical or theocratic.
