Paris Event Condemns Executions of PMOI Prisoners, Warns of Imminent Risk to Others

Paris rally condemns executions and warns of looming threats to Iran’s political prisoners.
Paris rally condemns executions and warns of looming threats to Iran’s political prisoners.

Condemnation of Executions and Urgent Warning

Paris, France – April 2, 2026 – A book stall and photo exhibition held in Paris strongly condemned the execution of four political prisoners affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) by Iran’s ruling regime. Organized by MEK supporters, the event called for an immediate halt to executions in Iran and the unconditional release of all political prisoners. Organizers also issued an urgent warning about the imminent risk of execution facing other detainees, particularly political prisoners Vahid Bani Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer, who are at serious risk of being executed at any moment.

Imminent Danger for Political Prisoners

The lives of Bani Amerian and Montazer are in grave danger, as they were charged in the same case as four PMOI members who were executed on March 30 and 31. Participants stressed that the international community must act immediately to prevent further executions and bring global attention to the escalating repression in Iran, especially following the January 2026 uprising.

Exhibition Highlights Iran’s Uprising

Alongside this urgent call, the exhibition featured powerful photographs of the uprising’s martyrs and aimed to express solidarity with the nationwide protests in Iran. The event highlighted the resilience of the Iranian people and their unwavering demand for freedom, justice, and democratic governance. It also welcomed the announcement of a Provisional Government by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Call for International Support

Organizers urged the French public and the broader international community to recognize the Iranian people’s rejection of all forms of dictatorship—whether monarchical or theocratic. Through compelling imagery and personal testimonies, the exhibition portrayed the courage and sacrifices of protesters, calling on the world to stand with the Iranian people rather than support any authoritarian alternative.

A Renewed Call for Freedom and Democracy

Participants reaffirmed the urgent need to establish a free and democratic republic in Iran. The Paris event served both as a tribute to those who lost their lives and as a renewed call for global solidarity to stop executions and support Iran’s ongoing struggle for political rights and civil liberties.
