Zurich Rally Highlights Executions of Iranian Political Prisoners

Zurich – Supporters of the Iranian Resistance rally to condemn executions in Iran and urge Switzerland to take decisive action.

Zurich – April 4, 2026: Supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered to protest the executions of six political prisoners: Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, Pouya GhobadiVahid Bani-Amerian, and Abolhassan Montazer, who were affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Demonstrators denounced the actions of Iran’s ruling establishment, describing the executions as a grave violation of human rights.

Demonstrators called for regime change and urged the Swiss government to take a clear stance against human rights violations in Iran.

The rally underscored growing international concern over the situation of political prisoners, with participants calling for increased global pressure to halt executions and support democratic change in Iran.

Call for International Support

Organizers of the rally in Zurich, Switzerland, urged the Swiss public and the broader international community to recognize the Iranian people’s rejection of all forms of dictatorship—whether monarchical or theocratic.

Alongside the rally, a book table and a photo exhibition honoring the martyrs of Iran’s nationwide uprising were held, drawing significant attention from local citizens.

Maryam Rajavi Calls for International Accountability

Following the execution of Vahid Bani-Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer on April 4, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi condemned the killings and called for urgent international action. She urged the global community to hold Iranian authorities accountable and to take decisive steps against ongoing human rights violations, emphasizing the need to support the Iranian people and their organized resistance.
