Manchester, UK – July 30, 2026: Members of the Academics in Exile Association in the UK, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), organized a book table and photo exhibition in Manchester to raise public awareness of the Iranian regime’s escalating executions and systematic human rights abuses.

The event highlighted the regime’s intensifying wave of executions, particularly those targeting political prisoners and protesters arrested during the January 2026 uprising. Through photographs, publications, and testimonies, the organizers shed light on the Iranian people’s suffering and their unwavering determination to reject all forms of dictatorship, whether monarchical or theocratic, in pursuit of freedom, democracy, and a secular democratic republic.

Participants expressed solidarity with the Iranian people’s ongoing struggle for justice and democratic change, while calling on the international community to take concrete action in support of their legitimate aspirations for freedom, human rights, and the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran. The exhibition also paid tribute to those who have lost their lives in the fight for justice and democracy.
