Melbourne, Australia — August 28, 2026: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a book table and photo exhibition in Melbourne to protest the Iranian regime’s escalating use of executions and widespread human rights violations.
The initiative expressed support for the nationwide “No to Execution” campaign, called for immediate international action against the regime’s ongoing abuses and demanded the unconditional release of all political prisoners.
Particular attention was drawn to the intensified use of the death penalty against political prisoners and protesters arrested during the January 2026 uprising.
The gathering also highlighted growing international concern over the situation of political prisoners in Iran. Participants called for increased global pressure to halt the executions and support the Iranian people’s efforts to achieve freedom and democracy.
Call for International Support
Organizers in Melbourne urged the Australian public and the international community to recognize the Iranian people’s firm opposition to all forms of dictatorship, whether monarchical or theocratic.
