UK, Winchester – August 8, 2026: Members of the Academics in Exile Association in the UK, supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), held a book table and photo exhibition in Winchester to raise awareness of the Iranian regime’s escalating executions and systematic human rights abuses.
The event attracted considerable public attention and shed light on the regime’s intensifying campaign of executions, including the execution of political prisoners and protesters arrested during the January 2026 uprising. The exhibition also highlighted the growing concerns over the systematic repression and severe human rights violations carried out by the Iranian authorities.
Through photographs, publications, and personal testimonies, the organizers highlighted the suffering endured by the Iranian people, as well as their continued determination to reject all forms of dictatorship, whether monarchical or theocratic. The exhibition also paid tribute to those who have lost their lives in the pursuit of justice, freedom, and democratic change in Iran.

Participants expressed strong solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, democracy, and the establishment of a secular republic. Visitors also actively engaged with the event by signing petitions urging the United Nations and the international community to take concrete measures in support of the Iranian people’s aspirations for human rights, freedom, and a democratic future.
