Iranian Americans and supporters of a free Iran have launched a weeklong campaign in New York. The effort is designed to raise awareness and mobilize supporters ahead of two days of rallies outside the United Nations on September 22 and 23.
Organizers say the New York UN rally for a free Iran will demand an end to surging political executions. They also want the international community to support the Iranian people’s call for a free, democratic, and secular republic.

OIAC Leads Weeklong Mobilization in New York
The Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) is leading the campaign from September 17 to 23. More than 100 Iranian-American volunteers are taking part.
Organizers say the campaign will highlight human rights violations attributed to the Iranian regime. That includes repression of women and abuses against ethnic and religious minorities.
Participants will also express support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for a free Iran.
Campaign Calls for a Democratic and Secular Republic
Organizers said the week’s activities are meant to bring together Iranian and American supporters of a democratic, secular, non-nuclear, and republican Iran.
In the days leading up to the main rallies, volunteers have taken to the streets. They have collected signatures, chanted slogans, and called for international action against executions.
Organizers also said the upcoming rally will protest the presence of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly.

Organizers Expect Thousands at UN Gatherings
Organizers said thousands are expected to gather in New York to call for global action to halt political executions. They framed the campaign as a rejection of dictatorship in all forms.
Supporters will also back the Iranian people’s uprising, organized resistance, and a political transition based on the NCRI’s Ten-Point Plan. The rallies will express solidarity with the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign inside Iran.
Organizers urged the public to join the weeklong effort. They said the goal is to put the Iranian people at the center of the international conversation on Iran and demand accountability for human rights violations.
Their message, they said, remains: “No to Shah, No to Mullahs, Yes to Free Iran.”
