Effretikon, Switzerland – September 15, 2026 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a photo exhibition and book table in Effretikon to protest and condemn the Iranian regime’s increasing use of the death penalty and death sentences, particularly against political prisoners. They also expressed solidarity with the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, which has called for an end to executions in Iran.
The gathering commemorated the victims of Iran’s 2022 nationwide uprising on its anniversary and honored the memory of wrestling champion Navid Afkari, who was executed by the Iranian regime on September 12, 2020.
A Call for Justice and a Free Iran
The exhibition endorsed NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi‘s “No to Executions” campaign and called for its expansion worldwide. Participants also reaffirmed calls for regime change and the establishment of a secular and democratic republic, rejecting both theocracy and monarchy.
