Rally Outside Pezeshkian’s New York Hotel Against Executions in Iran, Back Iranian Resistance

NEW YORK — September 21, 2026: Iranian Americans and supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered Monday outside the New York hotel of Iranian regime’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, to oppose his presence, demand an end to executions in Iran, and support a free Iran.

Demonstrators were protesting “the many atrocities and human rights abuses committed against the Iranian people.” They described the gathering as a message to the world and a prelude to larger rallies planned for September 22 and 23 outside United Nations headquarters.

Crowds carried Lion and Sun flags, banners reading “Stop Executions in Iran,” and portraits of people they identified as victims of the 2026 Iran uprisings and political prisoners. Signs also displayed the slogans “No to Shah, No to Mullahs,” “Victory Will Be Ours,” and “Democracy, Freedom with Maryam Rajavi.”

Protesters chanted, “Rajavi, Yes, Mullahs, No.” Others shouted, “No Shah, No Mullahs, Freedom for Iran.”

Supporters of the Resistance, back Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the NCRI’s President-elect and declared: “We want neither the Shah nor the mullahs. Down with dictators.” They also chanted: “Death to the oppressor, whether the Shah or the Supreme Leader.”
Some of Iranian supporters of the Resistance said they had come to New York “to oppose the presence of regime President Pezeshkian and to express their support for the Iranian Resistance and its call for a free Iran.”

Organizers said thousands would rally outside the United Nations on September 22 to “stop executions in Iran and support a democratic republic.”
