Bucharest, Romania – October 30, 2026 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a photo exhibition in Bucharest to highlight human rights violations in Iran and call on the international community to take urgent action to stop executions and prevent the implementation of death sentences against political prisoners.
The exhibition highlighted the continued detention of protesters arrested during Iran’s January 2026 uprising, the execution of political prisoners, and the imminent threat facing others. Participants called for international intervention to prevent further executions and secure the immediate release of all political prisoners and detainees at risk.
The event also called for the complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran and urged the international community to hold senior Iranian regime officials accountable for crimes against humanity before an international tribunal.
The exhibition expressed support for NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi and her “No to Executions” campaign, while reiterating calls for fundamental political change and the establishment of a secular, democratic republic in Iran. Organizers rejected both the ruling theocracy and a return to monarchy.
The event delivered a clear message: stop executions, release political prisoners, and stand with the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom, human rights, and democracy.
Romanian citizens who visited the exhibition expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and their aspirations for human rights, freedom, and democratic change.
