Copenhagen, Denmark – September 30, 2026 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a protest rally in Copenhagen against the execution of Ali Hemmati and Majid Nikandish, two protesters arrested during the January 2026 uprising in Iran.
Holding photos of the victims, demonstrators condemned the clerical regime’s actions as blatant human rights violations. They described the executions as a sign of the regime’s growing desperation in the face of public dissent and vowed to continue their struggle until the overthrow of the mullahs’ rule and the establishment of a free, democratic, and just republic.
The rally expressed solidarity with all those calling for an end to executions under the banner “No to Execution.” Participants pledged to keep raising their voices against executions in Iran and to draw international attention to protesters facing severe sentences.
The Copenhagen demonstration was part of broader efforts by PMOI/MEK supporters to demand an end to executions in Iran and to stand with those sentenced to death for participating in anti-government protests. They urged the international community to speak out against executions and to support protesters and political prisoners inside Iran.
Attendees also rejected all forms of dictatorship—whether monarchical or theocratic—and voiced support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as a democratic alternative to the current regime.
