World Day Against the Death Penalty: Copenhagen Rally Condemns Executions in Iran

Copenhagen rally on World Day Against the Death Penalty condemns Iran’s executions: “No to Execution.”

Copenhagen, Denmark – October 10, 2026 – On the World Day Against the Death Penalty, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally and photo exhibition in Copenhagen to protest the Iranian regime’s continued use of capital punishment and to draw international attention to political prisoners and protesters facing execution.

The rally condemned the threatened executions of political prisoners and protesters arrested during recent nationwide uprisings, as well as the death penalty in all its forms. Demonstrators called for an immediate halt to all executions in Iran.

Holding photographs of victims, participants denounced the clerical regime’s actions as blatant violations of human rights. They described the executions as a sign of the regime’s growing desperation in the face of public dissent and vowed to continue their struggle until the overthrow of the mullahs’ rule and the establishment of a free, democratic, and just republic.

The gathering expressed solidarity with all those calling for an end to executions under the banner “No to Execution.” Participants pledged to continue raising their voices against the death penalty in Iran and to urge the international community to act on behalf of protesters facing severe sentences.

Attendees also rejected all forms of dictatorship—whether monarchical or theocratic—and voiced support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as a democratic alternative to the current regime.
