During nationwide protests in November 2019, Mullahs’ regime repressive forces gunned down and killed 1,500 civilians. As the anniversary of the uprising approaches, many Iranians are commemorating this turning point in the country’s history by honoring the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom.
In recent days, many people who lost family members and friends in the protests held ceremonies in honor of their loved ones in different Iranian cities. These ceremonies are met with widespread support and sympathy by many Iranians who share their grief and desire to live in freedom.
In this regard, Resistance Units, the main Iranian opposition movement’s internal network, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK/PMOI), organized widespread activities across the country. The activities were in honor of martyrs of the November protests. They pledged to continue the struggle for freedom.
Resistance Units activities
As a result, in honor of the martyrs and the November uprising the Resistance Units posted and distributed images of the November 2019 martyrs on cars, walls, benches, and public places. Some posters slogans, including “Honoring martyrs of the November 2019 nationwide uprising.”
For instance, in Tehran, Isfahan, and Mashhad, the Resistance Units installed posters of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI). For example, some slogans, including “The November 2019 uprising proved that the only way to achieve freedom is fighting against the mullahs.”
Also, in Isfahan— Karaj— “The November 2019 uprising proved that the only way to achieve freedom is fighting against the mullahs.”
Karaj— “Resistance Units will overthrow the regime.”
