Iran: MEK Resistance Units Continue Activities Across the Country Despite Security Measures

Iran: MEK Resistance Units Continue Activities Across the Country Despite Security Measures

Iran, April 2-8, 2023: MEK Resistance Units continued their relentless activities during the past week. MEK Resistance Units installed posters of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi in public places.
They printed many posters of Maryam Rajavi and distributed them in cities.

The MEK network inside Iran also wrote graffiti on walls in different cities, among them were:
“Viva Rajavi…. We are supporting Maryam Rajavi’s cause and are ready… We swear on blood of martyrs that we will stand till the end… we will wipe mullahs’ disgrace from Iran…”

MEK Resistance Units also wrote the slogan: “Hitler is gone!… Khamenei is a much smaller dictator than him.”

Among the significant acts of MEK Resistance Units were by girls who form the ranks of Resistance Units. These units also took to graffiti and wrote:
“Down with Khamenei… Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the supreme leader, Ali Khamenei”.
Resistance Units in Sistan and Baluchestan, southeast Iran, also echoed the voice of Iran uprising in Zahedan and wrote graffiti on walls in Zahedan. They also rose placards during the Friday Prayers of Zahedan, which is an iconic event for Iran protests and Sunni Muslims of southeast Iran. Their placards read… “Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or Ali Khamenei.”

This moto has become a symbolic moto of the Iranian people in the recent uprising, expressing the Iranian people’s will, rejecting the dictatorships of mullahs and the Pahlavi monarchy. Nowadays, remnants of Pahlavi’s dynasty are trying to divert Iran’s revolution and depict an illusion for the West that the Iranian people are willing to return to the previous monarch dictatorship.

Resistance Units’ activities continue while the regime is seeking to identify and arrest them through surveillance cameras. Their arrest could lead to their execution, life imprisonment, or heavy sentences. The regime recently announced that it released many protesters from jail, but not the members of MEK Resistance Units.

Moreover, April 2 marked Sizdah Bedar, an Iranian national holiday celebrated on the 13th day of Iranian New Year. It is also known as “Nature Day” and it is customary for families and friends to gather outdoors, in parks or countryside. People express their wishes for the entire year on this day.

MEK Resistance Units also gathered outdoors and expressed Iranian people’s desire in this year. They chanted slogans like “Down with the Khamenei, viva Rajavi.”
They also prayed that the people could get rid of Khamenei, the entire regime, and any kind of dictatorship including Pahlavi’s rule in this year and forever.

Tehran— “Today is Sizdah Bedar. We are here to get rid of Khamenei’s disgrace. Down with Khamenei. Hail to Rajavi.”
Tehran— “Today, we are getting rid of the disgrace of the mullahs. We’ve come here to say down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the supreme leader. Hail to Rajavi. Long live freedom.”
Tehran— “We will fight and resist until we change the tough and cold winter of our nation. We will rid this nation of the disgrace of the mullahs. Iran’s spring with come. Maryam Rajavi will come to Tehran.”
Shiraz— “Down with Khamenei. Hail to Rajavi. Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the supreme leader. We tie the knot with nature to untie the knot of overthrowing the regime.”
Robat Karim— “Khamenei, you murderer, we will bring you down.”
Ardabil— “We will overthrow the mullahs’ regime this year. Freedom will come with the slogan ‘We can, and we must’”

The MEK Resistance Units in Iran have continued to honor the memory of the martyrs of the attack on Camp Ashraf on April 8, 2008, staged by the Iranian regime-backed Iraqi forces.
They commemorate the memory of 36 MEK members who sacrificed their lives in the attack by holding up their images, sharing their stories, and organizing events in their honor. These events are held in defiance of the Iranian regime’s attempts to suppress any dissent and to prevent the spread of opposition movements.

The Resistance Units also continue to advocate for the overthrow of the Iranian regime and for the establishment of a democratic government that respects the rights and freedoms of all Iranians. Despite all suppression and arrests, they remain committed to their cause and to the memory of the fallen martyrs of Camp Ashraf.
