MEK Resistance Units Continue Activities Across Iran Despite Wave of Executions

Iran, May 15-21, 2023: In recent months, the Iranian regime has resorted to executions as a desperate attempt to maintain its dictatorship. Since April 21, over 122 individuals have been sent to the gallows, adding to the grim tally. According to Amnesty International, the number of executions in Iran in 2022 has surged by a staggering 83 percent compared to the previous year, with more than 576 lives lost.

In response to the regime’s brutality, the MEK Resistance Units have intensified their activities, becoming a formidable force against oppression. Their determination to challenge the status quo is evident in their actions, which include torching entrances of the IRGC Basij and targeting symbols associated with the regime’s oppression and a beacon of hope for the Iranian people.

Furthermore, the Resistance Units have made a powerful statement by projecting a large image of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and NCRI president-elect Maryam Rajavi, in the heart of Tehran. This act serves as a symbol of the Iranian people’s unwavering strength and their resolute determination to overthrow the mullahs. Maryam Rajavi has been actively exposing the regime’s atrocities across the globe and rallying the world to support the Iranian people’s struggle.

In response to the regime’s animosity towards Maryam Rajavi, the Resistance Units have rallied behind her, demonstrating their unwavering support. They have taken to the streets, installing posters of Maryam Rajavi in prominent public places. These posters bear powerful slogans such as “Democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi” and “A free Iran with Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan. ”The plan, which outlines a vision for a secular and democratic republic of Iran, rejects the concept of absolute clerical rule and emphasizes principles such as freedom of speech and assembly, political pluralism, gender equality, and the rights of ethnic and religious minorities.

The impact of the Resistance Units’ actions reverberates across cities as they distribute images and quotes of Maryam Rajavi, inspiring the Iranian people. Messages such as “We can, and we must” resonate with a population yearning for change and empower them to rise against the oppressive regime.

With unwavering courage, the Resistance Units take their dissent to the streets, using graffiti as a powerful form of protest. Walls across the country bear slogans rejecting dictatorship and the regime’s leader, Ali Khamenei.

In the face of escalating executions and the regime’s relentless suppression, the Resistance Units stand as a beacon of hope for the Iranian people. Their acts of defiance, from projecting images of their leaders to spreading messages of democracy, serve as a powerful reminder that the Iranian people refuse to surrender to oppression. Despite the risks they face, they continue to fight for a free Iran, guided by the indomitable spirit of Maryam Rajavi and the unwavering resolve of the Resistance Units.
