On the commemoration of the November 2019 uprising, the Resistance Units, a network of PMOI/MEK supporters within Iran, conducted activities nationwide, reaffirming their dedication to following the path laid by the martyrs of the uprising and working towards the overthrow of the mullahs’ rule.

In Isfahan, images of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi were posted alongside messages such as “The overthrow of the anti-humane enemy is inevitable.” Meanwhile, in Mashhad, an image of Massoud Rajavi carried the message “It is time to expand the Resistance Units,” and a depiction of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), bore the message, “The November uprising proved that the revolt of the rebellious youth continues.”

In Langrud, Resistance Units displayed posters of Maryam Rajavi proclaiming, “On the anniversary of the uprising, the children of Iran will be on the maximum offensive.” Zanjan featured a poster declaring, “The people of Iran are determined to overthrow the mullahs’ regime and to establish a democratic republic.” Chalus showcased a poster of Massoud Rajavi conveying the message, “The blood of the martyrs of the November uprising is alive,” with similar activities witnessed in prominent areas of Shahrud.

Tabriz exhibited a poster showcasing the martyrs of the November 2019 uprising, emphasizing, “Honoring the movement of the Iranian people, from the 2019 uprising to the spring of the democratic revolution.” In Tehran, a Resistance Units member held a placard with Maryam Rajavi’s image, stating, “Today, the brilliant role of women can be seen across Iran.” Another placard asserted, “The brave girls and women are the main force for change at the forefront of the uprisings.”

In Isfahan, Resistance Units presented placards featuring Maryam Rajavi’s image, expressing, “The democratic revolution of Iran will be victorious, and the mullahs’ regime will be swept from Iran.”
Nowshahr witnessed Resistance Units holding a poster of Maryam Rajavi declaring, “The November uprising proved that the revolt of the rebellious youth continues,” with similar protests observed in other cities, including Behshahr, Sari, Shahriar, and Qazvin.

In 2019, the regime brutally suppressed protests, yet the root causes persisted, erupting again in 2022 after the murder of Mahsa Amini. Anti-regime protests ensued in over 190 cities, lasting for months and bringing the regime closer to downfall, although it survived through brutal suppression.

Today, the regime fears its waning power to quell another round of protests, inevitable sooner or later. It seeks various excuses, like the ongoing Gaza war, to divert attention from its crises and the growing restiveness in Iranian society. However, at every turn, the regime’s tactics face opposition from the resilient efforts of the Resistance Units.
