Despite a brutal crackdown involving mass executions, the Resistance Units led by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are gaining momentum with their activities nationwide. Courageous member of the Resistance Units are intensifying their efforts to overthrow the repressive theocracy and establish a free, democratic, and secular republic.
PMOI Resistance Units reject all forms of dictatorship, whether the monarchy of the Shah or the current religious tyranny. They voice steadfast support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its president-elect Maryam Rajavi‘s 10-point plan, which derives its legitimacy solely from the will of the people.
Rejecting Oppression, Demanding Freedom
In the capital Tehran, Resistance Units hung posters of Maryam Rajavi bearing the slogan “No to forced hijab, forced religion, and forced rulers,” defiantly rejecting the regime’s oppressive laws and calling for freedom of choice. Across cities, they held placards reading “Woman, Resistance, Freedom” – a rallying cry acknowledging Iranian women’s leading role in the struggle against the misogynistic mullahs.
In Amol, placards declared “Democracy, freedom, with Maryam Rajavi,” reaffirming support for Rajavi’s democratic vision. The Units also condemned the regime’s executions, holding signs that read “Abolish death penalty.”
A Vision for a Free Iran
Elsewhere, the Resistance Units championed key principles from Rajavi’s 10-point plan, including separation of religion and state, freedom of expression, and freedom of assembly. Their activities reiterate the Iranian Resistance’s core values: a democratic republic, secularism, gender equality, and abolition of the death penalty – a stark contrast to the oppressive policies of the ruling mullahs.
Through their defiant actions, the PMOI‘s Resistance Units demonstrate their unwavering commitment to continue the struggle until victory and freedom for Iran.
