Zahedan, August 16, 2024: The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) Resistance Units have been notably active in Zahedan, the capital city of Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeast Iran. These activities underscore a broader sentiment of resistance against the policies and governance of the Iranian regime.
The Resistance Units have held various activities, including putting up graffiti, banners, and placards with slogans such as:
“The strategic loser of the war is the supreme leader (Ali Khamenei)”
“The regime of massacres must be overthrown”
“The execution of political prisoners is Khamenei’s attempt to create a roadblock against the uprising.”
“The trial of Khamenei and the regime’s leaders is the demand of the Iranian people.”
“Khamenei has no way forward or backward on the path to destruction and overthrow.”
“Dark days are ahead for the regime; the countdown for the regime has begun.”
“The policy of the Iranian people is to dismantle Khamenei’s establishment.”
“No to religious dictatorship, yes to democratic republic.”
“We swear by the blood of our comrades, we stand firm until the end.”
“Shooting at fuel carriers is Khamenei’s revenge against the people of Baluchistan.”
“The cry of Baluchistan, whether gallows or prison, we stand firm until the end.”
“Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Mullahs!”
The slogans and activities of the Resistance Units reflect strong opposition to Iran’s regime, particularly targeting Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. They demand accountability for human rights abuses, call for the overthrow of the current regime, and advocate for a democratic republic over religious dictatorship.
Additionally, these expressions signify a significant and organized movement seeking radical change in Iran and rejection of both the Shah‘s monarchy and the current theocratic dictatorship of the mullahs, and their demand for democracy, equality, and regime change in Iran.
