Throughout 2024, the PMOI Resistance Units emerged as a formidable force in Iran’s ongoing struggle for freedom, embodying hope and courage amidst oppression. These activists undertook a series of bold operations across major cities, including Tehran, Shiraz, and Zahedan, commemorating martyrs and pivotal historical events, such as the anniversary of Massoud Rajavi’s release from the Shah‘s prisons.
Defying the regime’s oppressive security measures, the Resistance Units utilized banners, graffiti, and public demonstrations to voice their dissent. Slogans like “Death to the oppressor” and “Woman, Resistance, Freedom” resonated throughout their activities, reflecting a unified call for change. Their rejection of the regime’s sham elections was evident as they actively boycotted and dismantled propaganda efforts, emphasizing their commitment to a democratic future.
In January 2024, the Resistance Units marked significant anniversaries with widespread displays of solidarity. By February 25, they boldly proclaimed “It’s time for a revolution,” rejecting dictatorship in all its forms. This sentiment intensified as they commemorated the martyrs of February 8, 1982, reinforcing their determination for regime change.
March saw heightened activities around International Women’s Day, where the PMOI emphasized women’s crucial role in overthrowing tyranny. The month culminated in Nowruz celebrations marked by anti-regime slogans and calls for democratic change. Throughout April and May, the Resistance Units promoted Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, advocating for gender equality and freedom of expression while condemning oppressive practices.
As summer approached, the MEK Resistance Units amplified their efforts with thousands of activities nationwide. They commemorated historical events and highlighted ongoing repression through public demonstrations and campaigns against executions. June 29, Nationwide: 20,000 video messages were sent in support of the Free Iran 2024 event, doubling the previous year’s record. Messages showcased widespread discontent and courage under severe regime surveillance.
By September 2024, they celebrated the founding anniversary of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran with renewed vigor and commitment to freedom. In October 2024, the PMOI Resistance Units in Zahedan displayed placards with defiant slogans after Friday prayer sermons, calling for resistance against the regime. On October 18, they emphasized their commitment to overthrowing the regime and establishing a free Iran through public messages.
Throughout December, as in previous months, the PMOI Resistance Units continued their bold defiance against the regime. Their actions throughout the year not only highlighted ongoing oppression but also inspired widespread dissent against the regime. As they enter January 2025, these courageous activists remain a symbol of hope for a liberated Iran.
