MEK Resistance Units Mark Nowruz with Bold Anti-Regime Activities Across Iran

PMOI Resistance Units mark Iranian New Year (Nowruz) with anti-regime activities across Iran.

As the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) ushered in a new cycle of hope and change, the Resistance Units of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) intensified their anti-regime activities across the country. In a coordinated effort, they executed 50 revolutionary operations in 15 major cities, demonstrating their commitment to a free and democratic Iran.

Widespread Resistance Across Iran

Coinciding with Nowruz, the Resistance Units launched the sixth phase of their Revolutionary Nowruz campaign under the resounding slogan: “Death to the oppressor, whether he is the Shah or Khamenei.” The campaign spanned key cities, including Tehran, Karaj, Zahedan, Amol, Bandar Abbas, Rasht, Gorgan, Masouleh, Kermanshah, Zanjan, Saqqez, Ilam, Ganaveh, and Saveh.

This phase of resistance saw an increase in bold activities, particularly in high-security areas, sending a clear political message to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the ruling regime. Activists engaged in various forms of defiance, from writing slogans on walls to distributing leaflets and chanting against the dictatorship.

Revolutionary Messages and Actions

Resistance Units strategically placed their messages at significant locations, including government buildings, mosques, Basij militia bases, universities, and public transportation stations. The slogans echoed the people’s demand for an end to dictatorship:

In addition to slogans, images of resistance leaders Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi were prominently displayed in multiple cities, emphasizing the existence of a democratic alternative to the current regime.

The Goal: A Democratic Future

The Resistance Units aim to shatter the atmosphere of repression and fear in Iran’s cities by proving that Khamenei is not above accountability. Their actions serve to mobilize the public, emphasizing that the real choice is not between the Shah and the mullahs but between dictatorship and freedom. By organizing revolutionary movements, they seek to sustain political and social pressure on the regime, paving the way for a broader uprising.

A Revolutionary Nowruz

This year’s Nowruz was not just a traditional celebration but a declaration of defiance. The Resistance Units transformed the holiday into a moment of political and revolutionary significance. The banners they raised carried powerful messages:

The message of this campaign is clear: The struggle for a free Iran continues, and the people will not rest until they achieve democracy and justice. As the Resistance Units mark the dawn of a new year, they reaffirm their vow to fight until the country is liberated from dictatorship.
