
On Friday, July 18, 2025, defying intensified security measures, the MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan—the capital of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province—Units commemorated Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh on the anniversary of the July 21, 1952 uprising. They honored his legacy as a symbol of Iran’s historic struggle for freedom and independence. The Resistance Units reaffirmed their commitment to ending the mullahs’ rule and establishing a democratic republic in Iran.

Using placards, leaflets, banners, and protest photo displays in public squares, streets, and other gathering places, the Resistance Units highlighted the following slogans:
- July 21, 1952: “Victory of Mossadegh and the Iranian people over the Shah’s coup and foreign interference.”
- July 21, 1981: “Founding of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) to overthrow the clerical regime.”
- “Mossadegh’s leadership remains a model of democracy and independence for successive generations.”
- “Mossadegh was a steadfast, uncompromising leader from whom we learned the lesson of fighting both tyranny and colonialism.”
- “Today, Mossadegh’s legacy continues through the policy of “neither Shah nor mullahs”—rejecting both dictatorship and dependence.”
- “Third Option: No appeasement, no war — overthrow of the religious dictatorship by the people and their Resistance.”
- “The Iranian nation, with its courageous sons and daughters, is determined to wage the real battle through uprising and overthrow.”
- “Forward to the overthrow of the regime and a democratic revolution!”
- “Whether with or without nuclear weapons, Khamenei will be overthrown!”
- “The real war in Iran, ongoing for 44 years, is the struggle of the Iranian people against the religious fascism of the mullahs’ regime.”
