MEK Resistance Units: Defiant Flames Honoring Iran’s 2019 Uprising Martyrs

MEK Resistance Units mark the sixth anniversary of the November 2019 uprising

Nationwide Commemorations on the Sixth Anniversary

On November 14, 2025, as the sixth anniversary of Iran’s Bloody November 2019 uprising dawned, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) Resistance Units—a bold network of supporters embedded across the country—launched a wave of daring commemorative actions.
From the bustling streets of Tehran and Isfahan to the industrial heartlands of Karaj and the oil-rich ports of Ahvaz, fearless activists paraded in broad daylight, shattering the regime’s suffocating veil of terror.

These youth-led operations, blending chants, marches, and symbolic tributes, reaffirmed an unyielding commitment to the path of the uprising’s martyrs and the ultimate downfall of the mullahs’ oppressive rule.

Key City Actions: Symbols of Unbroken Resistance

The Resistance Units‘ activities spanned dozens of cities, each tribute a spark in the growing fire of Iranian resistance. Placards and chants echoed decades of defiance, linking the 2019 uprising to the 1988 massacre and beyond.
In Shiraz, defiant cyclists pedaled through tree-lined paths, yellow flags fluttering defiantly as they laid flower wreaths to honor the fallen heroes of November 2019.
The scene, captured in vivid footage, evoked a sense of resilient beauty amid repression—a quiet yet powerful ritual of remembrance. Echoing this spirit, Shahriar‘s placards boldly declared, “From the 1988 massacre to November [2019], we will stand till the end,” linking decades of brutality to an unbroken chain of resistance.

Bandar Mahshahr‘s voices rang clear with the vow: “The November 2019 uprising will never be forgotten.”
In Kermanshah, activists gathered at Tagh Bostan to commemorate those who clashed directly with Khamenei’s thugs, their signs reading, “Commemorating the martyrs who fought against Khamenei’s thugs in Tagh Bostan.”

Gorgan twice resounded with grief and grit—”Commemorating the martyrs who stood against the bullets and clubs of the criminal IRGC” and simply, “November will never be forgotten”—a stark reminder of the IRGC’s savage crackdown that claimed over 1,500 lives.
Javanrud kept it poignant: “Commemorating the martyrs of November.” And in Karaj, the call for justice burned fierce: “From the 1988 massacre to November [2019], we will seek justice for the martyrs.”

These slogans, scrawled on placards and chanted in unison, wove a tapestry of collective memory, transforming personal loss into a national clarion call.

Pledges for Regime Overthrow and a Free and Democratic Republic in Iran

As parades swelled with defiant youths chanting fora free and democratic republic in Iran, the message was unequivocal: the 2019 uprising’s embers refuse to die.
These actions not only mourn the martyrs gunned down by security forces but pledge an relentless fight for freedom, proving that Iran’s resistance is alive, organized, and expanding.

In the face of Khamenei’s crumbling theocracy, the Resistance Units stand as beacons—parading not in shadows, but under the sun, ready to fan the flames of revolution once more.
