
MEK Resistance Units Mark May 25 Anniversary, Honoring PMOI Founders and Reaffirming Commitment to a Democratic Republic
In their weekly activities, PMOI/MEK Resistance Units continued to defy the regime’s executions while reiterating their rejection of all forms of dictatorship and their commitment to the establishment of a democratic republic.
They also honored the memory of PMOI founders Mohammad Hanifnejad, Ali Asghar Badizadegan, and Saeed Mohsen, at the cusp of the 54th anniversary of their execution by the brutal regime of the Shah on May 25, 1972 (4 Khordad 1351 in the Persian calendar).

Calls for Freedom and a Democratic Republic
As part of their ongoing weekly activities, the Resistance Units also engaged in actions in Zahedan, continuing their campaign for freedom and a democratic republic through powerful slogans rejecting both monarchical and theocratic rule.
“No to monarchy, no to the supreme leader. Yes to freedom and equality.”
“From Zahedan to Tehran, down with the oppressor, whether the Shah or the supreme leader.”
“No to the Shah, no to the mullahs, yes to freedom and a democratic republic.”
