Iran – June 1, 2026 – In a bold show of defiance against the Iranian regime’s wave of mass executions targeting rebellious youth, members of the PMOI/MEK Resistance Units carried out daring operations in numerous cities across Iran on or around June 1.

The resistance fighters targeted centers and symbols of repression, setting fire to large posters and billboards featuring regime figures including Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Mojtaba Khamenei. They chanted the unifying slogan: “Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Supreme Leader,” explicitly rejecting all forms of dictatorship—both monarchical and theocratic.

Key operations included:

– Tehran: Multiple incidents of setting fire to large banners of Ruhollah Khomeini and posters of Ali Khamenei, as well as regime propaganda billboards.
– Hamedan: Burning a large poster of Mojtaba Khamenei.
– Shiraz: Torching a regime propaganda banner.
– Karaj: Setting fire to banners featuring Mojtaba Khamenei and a large billboard of eliminated regime officials.
– Mashhad: Burning a large poster showing Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Mojtaba Khamenei.
– Zahedan: Attacking an IRGC Basij base responsible for suppressing students.
– Dehloran, Kazerun, Iranshahr, and Sarbaz: Torching posters of Ali Khamenei.
– Gachsaran: Setting fire to a poster featuring both Ali Khamenei and Mojtaba Khamenei.
– Dorud: Burning a billboard belonging to an IRGC intelligence unit tasked with spying on citizens.
– Dehdasht and Ramhormoz: Targeting regime centers linked to fundamentalism and terrorism.

These coordinated actions come as the regime intensifies executions in an attempt to crush growing dissent. The Resistance Units emphasized their rejection of both the current clerical dictatorship and any return to monarchical rule associated with the Shah’s era.

The operations have been widely shared via videos showing flames engulfing regime symbols, signaling continued underground resistance despite heavy repression.
