
Friday, August 14, 2026 — Zahedan, capital of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran
Resistance Units affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Zahedan carried out a bold campaign by displaying placards and banners bearing statements by the Resistance leadership, Massoud Rajavi and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. The messages emphasized the complete rejection of both the clerical and monarchical dictatorships and the Iranian people’s determination to achieve freedom and a democratic republic.

Rejecting dictatorship and foreign dependence, with statements by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI):
“Iran will neither remain under a ‘religious’ dictatorship nor return to monarchical dictatorship. Iran’s path is the path of freedom.”
“The dictatorship imposed by Reza Shah and his son was established through a coup and foreign intervention.”
