Operations Follow Executions in Isfahan

Resistance Units launched 30 operations across Iran after the execution of two January uprising protesters. The two men, Amirhossein Maleki and Amirhossein Ebrahimi, were executed in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison.

The operations took place in Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad, Tabriz, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Bandar Abbas, Zahedan, Sabzevar, Dezful, Marand, Chabahar, Mahshahr, Iranshahr, Bijar, Rask, and Noorabad. Units attacked regime symbols, burned official banners, and targeted facilities linked to the IRGC, the Basij, and other state institutions. The campaign was dedicated to Ebrahimi and Maleki.

Targeting Regime Institutions and Symbols

In Tehran, Resistance Units reported an explosion at a committee linked to the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation. In Bandar Abbas, they reported an explosion at a foundation associated with corruption and the plundering of public wealth by clerical and IRGC networks.

In Isfahan, units targeted banners showing images of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Mojtaba Khamenei. They also targeted a sign of an intelligence ministry surveillance headquarters. Some actions included slogans such as “Death to the principle of velayat-e faqih (absolute religious dictatorship)!”, “Long live the Liberation Army!”, and “Long live Rajavi!”

Actions Against Basij Facilities and Banners

In Mashhad, Resistance Units set fire to a Basij base described as targeting students. They also burned banners of Ali Khamenei. In Tabriz, operations targeted banners of Mojtaba Khamenei and Ali Khamenei. Similar actions against leadership banners took place in Shiraz and Kermanshah.

Units set fire to Basij facilities linked to the IRGC in Kermanshah, Zahedan, Sabzevar, Chabahar, Iranshahr, and Bijar. In Rask, they carried out an operation against a base used by the regime’s proxy forces.

Other actions included burning banners of Ali Khamenei in Zahedan, Sabzevar, and Mahshahr. In Dezful, units targeted images of former and current leaders. In Marand, an operation targeted a banner of Mojtaba Khamenei. In Noorabad, banners of Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Mojtaba Khamenei were burned. The action was accompanied by the slogan “Death to the oppressor, whether Shah or Supreme Leader.”

Response Dedicated to Executed Protesters

The operations were presented as a tribute to Ebrahimi and Maleki. The executions added two more names to the list of protesters put to death by the regime, while the actions across Iran carried a message of solidarity and defiance against the use of capital punishment.
