Embracing Hope: Maryam Rajavi’s Vision for a New Iran

Embracing Hope: Maryam Rajavi's Vision for a New Iran

In the face of adversity and repression, there are always individuals who rise to the occasion, presenting a vision of hope and a path towards a brighter future.

Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), has put forward a comprehensive plan that envisions a democratic and prosperous Iran. With a focus on fundamental freedoms, social justice, gender equality, and international cooperation, Rajavi’s 10-point plan lays the foundation for a nation that embraces progress and empowers its people.

1-Sovereignty of the People: At the core of Rajavi’s plan is the rejection of absolute clerical rule and the affirmation of the people’s sovereignty. She envisions a republic founded on universal suffrage and pluralism, where the Iranian people have the power to shape their own destiny.

2-Upholding Freedoms: Rajavi advocates for the freedom of speech, political parties, assembly, press, and the internet. She calls for the dissolution of repressive institutions such as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence, allowing the Iranian people to express themselves and engage in open and democratic dialogue.

3-Individual and Social Freedoms: In accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Rajavi’s plan emphasizes individual and social freedoms. She seeks justice for the victims of past atrocities, including political prisoners, and aims to abolish torture and the death penalty. By disbanding agencies responsible for censorship and inquisition, she aims to create an environment that respects human rights and fosters inclusivity.

4-Separation of Religion and State: Rajavi advocates for the separation of religion and state, ensuring that every individual has the freedom to practice their religion or faith without interference. Her vision promotes a society where diversity of beliefs is embraced and respected.

5-Gender Equality: Recognizing the pivotal role women play in society, Rajavi champions complete gender equality. Her plan envisions equal participation of women in political leadership, protection against discrimination, freedom to choose clothing, the right to marry and divorce freely, and access to education and employment. Exploitation against women in any form will be strictly prohibited.

6-Independent Judiciary and Legal System: Rajavi’s plan emphasizes the establishment of an independent judiciary that adheres to international standards. This includes the presumption of innocence, the right to defense counsel, the right of appeal, and the right to a public trial. The abolition of Sharia law and the dissolution of Islamic Revolutionary Courts aim to ensure fairness and justice for all.

7-Autonomy and Justice for Iranian Nationalities: Rajavi recognizes the importance of autonomy for Iranian nationalities and ethnicities. Her plan aligns with the NCRI‘s vision for the autonomy of Iranian Kurdistan and seeks to address double injustices faced by various communities within Iran, promoting inclusivity and equality for all citizens.

8-Social and Economic Justice: In pursuit of a fair and inclusive society, Rajavi’s plan emphasizes justice and equal opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship. Her vision extends to restoring the rights of various professions, including blue-collar workers, farmers, nurses, white-collar workers, teachers, and retirees. A free market economy will provide the foundation for economic growth and prosperity.

9-Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation: Rajavi acknowledges the environmental devastation caused under the rule of the mullahs. Her plan prioritizes the protection and rehabilitation of the environment, recognizing the importance of sustainable development and preserving Iran’s natural resources for future generations.

10-Peace, Coexistence, and International Cooperation: Rajavi envisions a non-nuclear Iran that renounces weapons of mass destruction. Her plan promotes peace, coexistence, and regional and international cooperation. By engaging with the global community, Rajavi seeks to foster positive relationships and contribute to global peace and stability.

Maryam Rajavi‘s 10-point plan offers a beacon of hope for a new Iran. Rooted in democracy, human rights, and social justice, her vision seeks to empower the Iranian people and create a society that values freedom, equality, and progress. By embracing her plan, Iran can embark on a transformative journey towards a brighter future, where the voices and aspirations of its people are heard, and a new era of peace and prosperity dawns.
