Berlin, Germany — April 26, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) have continued their rally and photo exhibition in Berlin over recent days to draw public attention to the alarming human rights situation in Iran, particularly the plight of political prisoners facing execution.
The ongoing event highlights widespread human rights violations in the country, with a special focus on the cases of Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, two political prisoners reportedly at imminent risk of execution.
According to Iran Human Rights Monitor (Iran HRM), the request for judicial review (appeal for retrial) for political prisoner Behrouz Ehsani has been officially rejected. This decision follows the earlier rejection of a similar appeal by Mehdi Hassani. With these denials, both men are now in immediate danger of execution.
At the exhibition, visual installations, posters, and eyewitness accounts highlighted the broader pattern of repression in Iran, particularly the use of the death penalty against dissidents. Attendees were invited to participate in advocacy efforts, including petition-signing and social media campaigns aimed at drawing international attention. MEK supporters in Berlin also called for global action to hold Iran’s regime leaders accountable for crimes against humanity.
