Malmö, Sweden — May 10, 2025 — A rally held in Malmö brought urgent attention to Iran’s worsening human rights crisis, with a particular focus on political prisoners facing imminent execution.
Organized by supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the event highlighted the cases of Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani. Both men, imprisoned in Iran for political activism, are reportedly at immediate risk of execution after their appeals for retrial were denied.
The event underscored a growing call for global solidarity with Iran’s political prisoners and greater pressure on the regime to end its systematic human rights violations.
Participants expressed solidarity with the Iranian Revolution and urged the Swedish government to close the Iranian regime’s embassy, and designating of the IRGC as terrorist organization.
Organizers of the rally in Malmö reaffirmed their commitment to establishing a democratic republic, rejecting all forms of dictatorship, whether under the current mullahs’ regime or a return to the Shah’s rule.

They also called for international recognition of the Iranian people’s resistance and their right—along with the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran—to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
