On November 22, a conference was held at the European Parliament with the presence and speech of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), chaired by Javier Zarzalejos, the co-chair of the Friends of a Free Iran intergroup. The event saw the participation of numerous representatives from various political groups and a significant number of their assistants.
During the European Parliament conference, speakers discussed the terrorist intentions against Professor Alejo Vidal Quadras, the former Vice President of the European Parliament, and the role of the Mullahs’ regime as the root cause of warfare and terrorism in the region and the world.
Professor Vidal-Quadras’s message to this conference was read by Mr. Zarzalejos. The message stated: “The correct combination of sanctions, diplomatic and political pressures, international isolation, and comprehensive support for the democratic opposition in Iran, as articulated in Mrs. Rajavi’s ten-point plan, is the only path to success. Any other strategy is a waste of time.”
In her speech, Mrs. Rajavi stated that Nevertheless, the bullet that struck Mr. Vidal-Quadras in the face was a disgrace to the policy of appeasing Khamenei. This crime is the outcome of handing over the regime’s imprisoned terrorist-diplomat in Belgium, and tolerating the presence of the network of agents and spies from the mullahs’ Intelligence Ministry in Europe.
Indeed, isn’t it a proven fact that the regime’s embassies in Europe serve as its command headquarters for terrorism? Then, why have European governments failed to shut down those embassies?

Numerous representatives spoke at the conference, expressing solidarity with Alejo Vidal Quadras and wishing him a speedy recovery. They criticized Europe’s inaction, which has allowed the Iranian regime to export its reign of terror from Iran to Europe and extend its influence from Iranian dissidents to European policymakers. They called for a decisive policy, including designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
The representatives characterized the current Middle East crisis and war as the outcome of a realistic and pragmatic policy and attributed the root cause of the crisis to the Iranian regime. They emphasized that as long as this regime remains in power, the war and crisis will persist, with no hope for peace and tranquility.
The representatives underscored that the National Council of Resistance of Iran and its president, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, have demonstrated a genuine alternative to the current terrorist dictatorship and warmongering. They praised the stability along principled lines, the willingness to pay the highest price, and the deep democratic platform as key factors that make them a real alternative.
