The event highlighted the ongoing struggle against the Iranian regime, which executed over 30,000 political prisoners, primarily from the PMOI, following a decree from Khomeini.
Mrs. Rajavi praised Süssmuth for her long-standing support of the Iranian Resistance and emphasized the need for accountability regarding the regime’s crimes, including genocide and crimes against humanity. She called for international legal actions against Iranian leaders and highlighted the importance of women in the fight for freedom.

The conference also addressed the current instability of the Iranian regime, marked by a significant boycott of recent elections and a surge in executions. Mrs. Rajavi noted the resilience of the Resistance Units, which have conducted numerous acts of defiance against the regime. In her remarks, Ms. Süssmuth was recognized for her vocal opposition to the 1988 massacre and her continued advocacy for the Iranian people.
Mrs. Rajavi concluded by asserting that the Iranian Resistance represents a viable alternative to the current regime, urging the international community to support their cause against the clerical dictatorship.
