On February 14, 2025, during the Munich Security Conference, Iranian freedom-loving demonstrators and supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered to echo the unwavering resolve of the Iranian people in their fight for democracy and justice. In her message to the rally, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), emphasized the urgent need for international action against the clerical regime in Tehran.
She highlighted the regime’s suppression of fundamental rights, its pursuit of nuclear weapons, and its destabilizing role in global security. Mrs. Rajavi called on the international community to adopt a firm stance against the regime, including reimposing UN sanctions, blacklisting the IRGC as a terrorist organization, and recognizing the Iranian people’s right to overthrow the dictatorship.

Maryam Rajavi’s Message to the Iranians’ Rally in Munich
Dear compatriots, fellow supporters of the Iranian Resistance,
Greetings to you, who, through your gathering and demonstrations during the Munich Security Conference, once again display the unwavering resolve and determination of the Iranian people to achieve freedom and justice. Your passionate presence signifies your commitment to the noble ideals of the Iranian people—seeking the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime and the establishment of a democratic republic.
The religious dictatorship ruling Iran not only suppresses the basic freedoms and human rights of the Iranian people, but through its aggressive policies and relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons, it poses a grave threat to global security and peace. In this context, the policy of appeasement has only provided the regime with opportunities to intensify both domestic repression and external warmongering.
We declare to the international community that the clerical regime is in its final phase. The Iranian people, with unwavering determination, are resolute in their quest to overthrow the regime, and without a doubt, they will achieve it. Any investment in this regime is doomed to failure, and the time has come for the international community to stand alongside the Iranian people by adopting a firm policy against religious fascism and supporting their struggle for freedom and democracy. Such a policy is essential for peace and stability in the region and the world, and it must include, among other things, the following:
1. Activating the “snapback” mechanism within the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the reimplementation of six UN Security Council resolutions against the regime’s nuclear projects, with the complete dismantling of its nuclear program. This is an action that should have been taken much sooner. Any delay is merely providing the regime with an opportunity to acquire nuclear weapons.
2. Designating the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the regime’s primary tool for repression, warmongering, and terrorism, as a terrorist organization, and expelling its agents and mercenaries. This sends a strong message to the regime and its supporters that the international community will not tolerate the terrorism of this hostage-taking regime.
3. Conditioning negotiations and deals with the mullahs’ regime on the cessation of executions, torture, and terrorism.
4. The mullahs’ regime, as the primary threat to global peace, should be placed under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. The struggle of the Iranian people, along with the just fight of the youth and the Resistance Units against the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for the overthrow of the regime, should be officially recognized.
The people of Iran and the Iranian Resistance are determined to overthrow this criminal regime and liberate Iran and its people. As Massoud Rajavi, the Leader of the Iranian Resistance, has said: “The democratic revolution and the democratic republic will be achieved by the capable hands of the people, their vanguards, and the brave youth in the enchained Iran.”
