At a recent conference held at the UK Parliament under the title “Third Option: Change by Iran’s People and Resistance”, Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), delivered a decisive message: the struggle for Iran’s future hinges not on foreign military interventions or appeasement of the ruling regime, but on the power of Iran’s people and their organized resistance.
A policy that, for over four decades, has only fueled insecurity, instability, warmongering, and terrorism must come to an end. Instead, the world should stand behind the very values and principles outlined in the joint statement by the majority of members of both houses of the… pic.twitter.com/ovPOsWRdh4

Addressing Members of Parliament, Mrs. Rajavi emphasized that the twelve-day conflict in the region had exposed a fundamental reality: the true war is between Iran’s people and the regime of religious fascism ruling their nation. According to her, the primary objective of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s regional aggression is to suppress potential uprisings within Iran, a fear that has prompted a brutal crackdown, including new oppressive laws accelerating executions.
Mrs. Rajavi highlighted the recent death sentences of political prisoners—Farshad Etemadifar, Masoud Jamei, and Alireza Merdasi—whose only crime, she said, was their association with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Their persecution exemplifies the regime’s desperation and recognition of the organized resistance as its primary existential threat.
In her speech, Mrs. Rajavi also commended the UK Parliamentary Committee on Intelligence and Security for exposing the Iranian regime’s terrorist operations abroad, calling for stronger international action. She warned that attempts to rehabilitate remnants of the former Shah’s dictatorship serve only the current regime’s interests, possibly even orchestrated by the regime itself, and urged firm rejection of such distractions.
We respectfully urge the esteemed members of both houses of the UK Parliament to take the initiative in proposing a resolution that:https://t.co/TGljEV5ofw pic.twitter.com/frE5X6PESO

Mrs. Rajavi concluded her remarks by calling for an international policy shift. She urged British lawmakers to back a parliamentary resolution recognizing the Iranian people’s right to overthrow the regime and supporting the Resistance Units. She further advocated for the reactivation of UN sanctions against Iran and conditioning diplomatic relations on halting executions.
Through her message, Maryam Rajavi reaffirmed that Iran’s future lies not in the past or in external interference, but in the determination of its people and their organized resistance. Her vision for a free, democratic, and non-nuclear Iran—with gender equality, religious freedom, and respect for ethnic diversity—resonated strongly in the halls of the UK Parliament.
