Conference at the European Parliament: Europe Cannot Remain Silent or Passive

On December 10, in a session attended by Members of the European Parliament and international figures, NCRI President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi emphasized that Europe cannot remain passive regarding the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses. She highlighted the regime’s escalating repression, including executions of political prisoners, imprisonment of dissidents, and transnational harassment of Iranian exiles in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.

Mrs. Rajavi called for concrete measures by the European Union: ending silence on the situation of 18 political prisoners, conditioning all relations with the regime on halting executions, closing embassies linked to transnational repression, and placing the IRGC and Ministry of Intelligence on the EU terrorist list. She stressed that the Iranian Resistance seeks a democratic republic based on free elections, rule of law, separation of religion and state, and full protection of human rights.

European Parliament Human Rights Day: The Mullahs Hang Human Rights Every Single Day

In her second address on the same day, marking International Human Rights Day, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi detailed the daily violations of human rights by Iran’s clerical regime. She cited the execution of 335 prisoners in November alone and the arrest of nearly two million people annually. She condemned the regime’s extraterritorial attacks, including an assassination attempt on former European Parliament Vice President Alejo Vidal-Quadras and harassment of Iranians in Germany and other countries.

Mrs. Rajavi highlighted the ongoing resistance efforts and campaigns against executions and repression. She stressed that despite the regime’s brutality, the Iranian people and the Resistance continue to strive for freedom, justice, and democracy, calling on Europe to act decisively against human rights violations by the Iranian regime.
