MEK / PMOI Free Iran rally in Albania– Elona Jebrial, Deputy Minister of Interior in Albania supported MEK and Maryam Rajavi’s plan for a free and democratic Iran, July 13, 2019
Elona Gjebrea: Dear brothers and sisters, dear guests, dear Madame Rajavi, it’s really an honor for me to be in this wonderful place and really I would like to thank all of you that has made this place as great as it is. The international community must recognize the rights of Iranian people and resistance to establish freedom and democracy in their homeland, Iran. Ashraf 3 is a symbol for freedom and future. I was Deputy Minister of Interior when we stared the allocation of MEK people here in Albania, with the support of the Albanian government and of course under the leadership of our Prime Minister, Edi Rama. And it was really fantastic that all were safe and all together here in our beautiful country, Albania.
Elona Gjebrea: Last month, Albania made a strong position against the Iranian regime and terrorist attack in the Middle East. And our prime minister officially announced that these threats in the Gulf of Oman are a serious threat to all international peace and energy security. Albania stands firm with U.S., Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, against what seems to be typical of provocations by Iran to escalate tensions. Dear brothers, dear sisters, dear friends, we support MEK and all the efforts they have done to achieve and to reach security and peace in their country. The dossier of human rights abuses and massacres of political prisoners in Iran must be referred to the UN Security Council.
Elona Gjebrea: I support Madame Rajavi for her work, for her incredible work that she has done, and to ensure a secure and democratic country. She’s really incredible. She’s beautiful inside out and I thank her for this. I’m proud to support the Iranian women who are calling for change and democracy. I admire their courage and determinations.
Elona Gjebrea: We in our country, as my colleagues mentioned, we have our differences here in Albania. But all of us are united when it comes for the cause of MEK, people here in Albania, and all their efforts they are doing for freedom, for peace, for security. We stand with people of MEK in Albania for (their) freedom and really would like to help them. We are also, and I’m really very honored and also happy to see so many people coming in our beautiful country, Albania, which has done so much progress toward all these years and I think we deserve to be member of Europe. Thank you very much.
