Gen. George Casey Speech In MEK Free Iran Rally In Albania

MEK / PMOI Free Iran rally in Albania– Gen. George Casey former commander of the Multi-National Forces-Iraq supported MEK and Maryam Rajavi’s plan for a free and democratic Iran, July 13, 2019

Gen. James Conway:  Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. My good friend George Casey talked some about the past. I’d like to talk about the future. And the phrase or the concept that I want to discuss with you is called set the conditions for success. The United States military, any time we undertake a major operation or a major undertaking, we attempt to set the conditions for success to ensure we will have mission accomplishment. I would first like to address those people here from the nations, anyone that is sitting behind a name tag, I would say thank you. Obviously you’re an important person in your country. You’re here because you’re lending your personal support to the cause. But I want to ask you to do more. I want to ask you that when you go home, you be ready to set the conditions for success.

Gen. James Conway:  For the next time the young people of Iran go to the streets. I would ask you I would ask you to use your influence, your name, your positions, to ensure that your government responds quickly in an endorsement to those young people who are potentially sacrificing their lives. I’m absolutely convinced that the regime feels very stressed and if anything they will be more violent than ever before when they have the uprisings in the streets. And those young people will be checking their devices twice a day to see which nations have expressed their support. So it’s absolutely critical in my mind, in fact you may be saving lives by helping to influence your government to support those young people and the cause.

Gen. James Conway:  Secondly, I would talk to our Iranian patriots and the residents of Ashraf 3. You know how I support your case and you know of my tremendous respect for your courage and dedication. I am not a politician. I am not a diplomat. So I would like to speak bluntly with you folks about this concept of setting the conditions for success. I believe as I stand here today that you must do more in Iran to secure a probability for success. You must somehow convince the Iranian Army of what you’re doing is the right thing. History will show that where revolutions are attempted and the Army supports the government, they’re crushed. History will also show that where the Army turns or the Army fails to act, most of those revolutions will succeed. Your own history with the Shah shows that.

Gen. James Conway:  Wer’e watching today in Venezuela, which way will the army go? Will that leader survive or will he fall? It will be determined by the army. On that fateful day when the young people of Iran rise up in that next major uprising, frankly the strength of the NCRI will not be enough. Your units of resistance will not be enough. The incredible leadership of Madame Rajavi and the magnificence of the 10-point plan will not be enough if the army opposes you. Now the Revolutionary Guard will never turn. The navy and the air force don’t have the power. But if you can convince the lieutenants of your cause and ensure that the majors don’t fire on your people in the streets and counsel the colonels and the generals that they will be held accountable for their actions, then I think you have a major chance of success. And when you do, the world will be a much better place with a free Iran. Thank you.
