IAEA chief Rafael Grossi will be in Tehran soon to discuss concerns over Iran’s nuclear program. Grossi’s trip expected before the next IAEA Board of Governors’ meeting in late November 2021.
Some board members are pushing for a condemning of Tehran’s nuclear activities and 2015 nuclear deal violations. Grossi’s September trip to Tehran did not yield its intended results.
Iran promised UN inspectors access to its nuclear sites, but prevented into a Karaj facility. Playing for time has become a recurring pattern in Tehran’s dealings with the international community.
